Dom I / House I

Dom jest niedużą skrzynką

 w rękach najwyższego,

 z której wielkie oczy

 oglądają świat.

 Dlatego

 dzień jest jasny

ogień ciepły

 woda czysta

 chleb powszedni

 i bądź wola twoja.

 Jeśli nie –

 po domu hula wiatr

 a o dach bębnią łzy.

 Jeśli tak

 bliźniego swego

 naucz.

 A house is a tiny box

 in the Almighty’s hands.

 Fearful eyes watch the world

 from within.

 Thus

 the day is bright

 the fire is warm

 the water is clean

 our daily bread

 and thy will be done.

 If not –

 wind rages through the house

 and tears beat on the roof.

 If yes

 teach your neighbor

 as you would

yourself.
